Rachele Reese

Rachele Reese’s teaching career began at Maricopa High School in 2000, where she taught English, ELL and Spanish for seven years before becoming the ELL Director and later named the Assistant Principal for multiple schools in the Maricopa School District. While she was with the Maricopa School District, she assisted in the opening of Saddleback and Santa Cruz Elementary Schools. Then, she led the turnaround of Maricopa Elementary School, by taking it out of “corrective action” as designated by the Arizona Department of Education to two points from an “A” rated school under her tenure. For the past three years, Mrs. Reese has worked at Leading Edge Academy as the Assistant Principal.  As assistant principal, she implemented the Character Counts and Positivity Project programs, encouraging students daily to demonstrate good character. Mrs. Reese views a collaborative school environment as the key to creating successful teachers and students. She believes partnerships with parents and the community are essential to enriching the experience at school. Rachele has been recognized within the Maricopa community for the following: Maricopa Special Service Award (2003), Excellence in Education Award (2012) and Hispanic Person of the Year (2018). She is excited to join A+ Charter Schools and share her experience as a principal and school leader, while focusing on an academic model centered on project-based learning.
